Current Varieties Grown
YellowThese yellow-fleshed, round-shaped potatoes are a fan favourite. They are great for boiling, baking, and frying and have a golden butter-coated appearance and delicious taste. We grow a few different yellow varieties, but our staple yellow variety is Satina.
RussetThis white-fleshed, oblong-shaped potato type has a russet skin. It is a popular potato in restaurants for use as a baked potato, and homes for baking, mashing, microwaving, and French fries. We grow several varieties of Russet potatoes on our farm including both classic and newer varieties.
WhiteRound white potatoes are often early-maturing potatoes that can be ready to harvest sooner than other varieties. We love to plant these potatoes early in the spring and encourage them to grow as quickly as we can so that we can enjoy and sell them as tasty “new” potatoes as early as the middle of June. You can purchase them directly at one of our roadside stand outlets and from select retail outlets. They are great for boiling, salads, and microwaving. On our farm we mainly grow a variety called Superior.
RedRed potatoes are usually white-fleshed, round potatoes with red skin. They are a restaurant favourite and also great for home cooking. They taste great and add a little splash of colour to your plate.
Tiny SpudsTiny spuds (or creamer potatoes) are delicious bite-sized potatoes that are super popular. They are grown specifically to be harvested at this small size (none of them would be much bigger than a golf ball). They are a favourite of both gourmet chefs and families on the go. They are cooked with the skin on (no peeling!) and the cook really fast due to their small size. They come in different shapes (round and long, which are also called fingerlings) and different colours (white, yellow, red, purple, etc). They are usually sold in smaller packages and multiple different colours of creamer potatoes are often blended together in the same package. They are a fancy and delicious treat!
